The JITMM 2023 Organizing Committee will provide Travel Awards to deserving applicants who wish to attend and present at the conference. The number of awardees depends on the available funding or sponsorship for JITMM.

You are eligible to apply for the Travel Awards if you are any of the following:
- Early-career researchers (graduate and post-graduate level up to 8 years post-PhD)
- Researchers from low and middle-income countries (LMICs), as defined by the World Bank
- Students (currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program)
- For early-career researchers- a copy of your graduation certificate or proof that you graduated with an M.Sc., Ph.D., or MD. within the last 8 years
- For researchers from LMICs- a letter of support from your organization or institution (signed and on organizational letterhead)
- For students- a letter from your institute to prove your student status
- Fully waived registration
- Hotel accommodation
- Application Open – 15 July 2023
- Application Deadline – 15 August 2023
- Notice of Award – Late October or mid-November 2023
- Delivery of an oral or poster presentation based on the submitted abstract
- Attendance for the full 3 days of JITMM 2023
- Submission of a brief (1-page) conference report highlighting your experience attending or presenting at JITMM 2023. The submission deadline is 10 January 2024.
