I am pleased to extend an invitation for you to join me and other top experts and lead innovators in the field of tropical medicine and attend the “Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting 2011 (JITMM 2011).”
In cooperation with the SEAMEO TROPMED Network, the Parasitology and Tropical Medicine Association of Thailand, and the TROPMED Alumni Association, The Faculty of Tropical Medicine of Mahidol University will be holding the conference on December 1-2, at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre At CentralWorld in Bangkok, Thailand.
The theme of this year’s JITMM is “One World - One Health” to address the need for a globalized, multi-disciplinary approach to solving current tropical health problems.

Every year, The JITMM welcomes leaders of all disciplines of tropical medicine and tropical health from every corner of the globe. This “must-attend” event has previously included participants from over 30 different countries. Sessions will cover recent updates on and currently debated issues of communicable and non-communicable diseases prevalent in the tropics, the impact of the global economic recession on population health in the tropics, ways to manage tropical health using an multi-disciplinary approach, as well as travel medicine and the impact of travel on the potentially lightning-fast transmission of dangerous communicable diseases.
I look forward to seeing you at this year’s JITMM.
